Hoshi
Hoshi Kabuto is a kind of Japanese war helmets that has been used from mid-Heian period. Steel plates that forms crown of the helmet are connected with nails, and this type of helmets show the top of those nails. Top of the nails called Hoshi(Japanese word for star), hence this type of helmets are called Hoshi kabuto.

Shikoro
The part protects the back of head and neck.

Shinobio
These are strings that are tied up under a chin when wearing a helmet.

Ohsode
This part protects shoulders and upper arms. It is designed uniquely so that the person who wears the armor can be remarked.

Tsurubashiri
It protects chest. It is covered with leather, so that the arm doesn't get stuck on it when drawing arrow.

Kusazuri
This part protects lower abdomen. It is divided into several parts in order to ride a horse.

Fukikaeshi
This part guards the face from incoming arrows. But it is also considered as a kind of accessory, thus it is covered with leather.

Sendan Ita
The parts protect armpit and pit of the stomach.

Munaita
The parts protect armpit and pit of the stomach.

Kyu-bi Ita
The parts protect armpit and pit of the stomach.
